April, 12-15 2010 Moscow hosted the II International Congress-Fair "EurasiaBio - 2010". Leading specialists in the field of biotechnology, representatives of science, business, administration bodies from Russia and 40 countries participated at the congress activity.
"EurasiaBio - 2010" was organized by the Ya. A. Ovtchinnikov Russian Biotechnology Society (RBS) supported by the State Duma of RF, Federal Agency on Affairs of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS), Compatriots Residing Abroad and International Humanitarian Cooperation (Rossotrudnichestvo), the Russian Society of Sciences, the Russian Trade and Industry Chamber and the Union of Biotechnological Enterprises. Leading specialists in the field of biotechnology, representatives of science, business, administration bodies from Russia and 40 countries participated at the congress activity. The Congress was welcomed by the Russian Minister of Education and Science Andrey Fursenko and by the President of the Russian Trade and Industry Chamber Evgeny Primakov.
The key issues discussed at the symposium were the organization and prospects of scientific and technical cooperation between Russia and EU in the 7th Framework Programme, in particular: industrial biotechnology, plants for the future, forestry, fisheries and aquacultures, food for life and animal health.
